I've been so busy working and shopping, I feel like I barely have time to think straight. Today I woke up feeling a bit under the weather, so I think I'll take it easy and keep popping zicams, so I don't get more sick.   Well, I'm going to do a bit more shopping before the mall closes though. Ahhh! So much to  do! On top of that there's a bunch of drama and bullshit going on in my life... I want to run away sometimes. I SOOO need a vacation.

Last week, was really crazy. I did lots of xmas shopping. I have a huge family. It's insane! I was going around town. Barney's, Saks, the Beverly Center, Highlands, Target, Toys R Us, Costco, the Promenade, Century City Mall, Westside Pavilion, Fox Hills...OMG! The crowds...parking is a fucking bitch, and since they have all these special events going on they blocked off lots of roads, so traffic galore. I can't believe I still have so much more shopping to do. I feel like I've been shopping almost every day for 3 weeks straight!
<Roads blocked off. I see horses and llamas. Something was up...
<They blocked off part of Hollywood Blvd for a Christmas parade.
< and free disney concert. I'm thinking Highschool musical chumps or some bs....Basically took an extra 2 hours to get to Hollywood and Highland to do some shopping and get shabu shabu. Bah!

<This was funny. The Beverly center with some show in the middle of the mall. It had a hunky half naked santa and his jolly ho ho ho's doing circus acts. Note the 2 kids in the bottom corner. They are sitting at tables in the bar...classic. Yes, there's a bar in the middle of the Beverly Center. =)

I wish I could just give everyone cash, but I tried that one year and some people were complaining about how impersonal it was. Last year, I tried the gift card thing...same response. Shit I'd take cash over a gift any day. I can actually buy something I need! I know people say it's the thought that counts, but with some of the gifts I get, I can't help but wonder what they hell they were thinking... haha. Yes, thanks for the adorable Precious Moments porcelain figurine. Oh that boy's puppy dog eyes are so lifelike! I'll put it in my display case with the rest of the useless junk wonderful knickknacks that I've accumulated over the years.  Lord knows that one can never have too many knickknacks. The display case industry must be booming! I kid, well half kid. Man, I sound like a jerk...

Anyways... I spent a whole 3 hrs in a Toys r Us alone trying to find decent gifts for a charity that my job is taking part in. Basically foster kids write specific gifts that they would want and you just pick a kid and buy the gift. Most kids picked things like certain dvds or articles of clothing. There was one kid that actually wrote "Alien duplicator machine. " I felt bad because no one picked him. If an alien duplicator machine existed, it'd probably cost billions of dollars. I admired the kid for having an imagination, but I couldn't choose him because I would have no idea what to get that could dupe an alien duplicator machine. Maybe the kid will grow up to be some evil awesome scientist of some sort.

I was the last to see the list so I had no specific gift to buy. All the kids were taken, so it just said to buy "something that all kids in the orphanage could share". Now I'm a pretty indecisive person, so I must have walked around the store a billion times. I really wanted to get something nice and something that wasn't on the list. I finally decided on an electric keyboard, and an electric drum set. That's something kids can take turns using, plus they can get there artistic juices flowing by making music. =)  I also threw in a couple of Spongebob stuffed animal/dvd sets. I'm guessing you can't go wrong with Spongebob these days.

So I still have lots more shopping to do. I think I'll head out for a bit and see what I can find. Then I think I'll just rest and catch up with my blogs. I have lots of new pics and all that crap...
