  • Sobriety...food...happenings...

So, some of you know I had a pretty bad kidney infection and now I've pretty much recovered-finished my antibiotics and all that shit. I've been sober now for 10 days now and let me tell you it was fucking hard. Basically, I was drinking all day every day just to be able to function normally and my body totally paid the price. I reached a point where I wasn't even really drinking to get drunk anymore I was drinking because it was my fuel, it helped me function- I know, not cool. Drinking just seemed so normal to me. I would wake up, feel shitty till I took a shot then I would go about my day. If I was about to party I would take 4 shots of jack before I headed out then continue to drink throughout the night. (Yeah, my poor liver and kidneys. ) The sad part was that people couldn't even tell that I was drinking so much because I really don't lose my inhibitions when I drink. I'm not goofy or crazy-just normal. I could probably out drink many grown ass men no problem. I'm not even trying to brag. It really sucks. I wish I could have 1 or 2 drinks and be good for the night, but that would have barely any effect on me. I'm not a cheap date.

Detoxing was a total bitch for me. Aside from suffering the pains of a terrible kidney infection, I was riddled with bad depression fatigue and then insomnia, terrible anxiety, mood swings, and I felt physically weak. It was a total mind fuck, but you know I guess it was a blessing in disguise. I don't think I would've slowed down on my own. I'm not sure how long I will stay completely alcohol free, but at least this will help lower my tolerance a bit and I'll just try my best not to drink too much. I'll try to moderate things. We'll see. Also it was funny being sober for a while. Really helps you weed out who's really there for you and who's just around for a pretty drunk face...

I'm definitely not feeling as bad as I did last week. I bought some women's vitamins, wellness formula supplements, and healthy trinity probiotics from whole foods. Trying to get healthier and all. I seriously neglected my health for so long...vitamins are a start I guess. =P

I finally got my internet fixed. Fucking Time Warner sucked in my neighborhood. It took twice as long to open web pages which was driving me fucking bananasandwich. Anyways, thought I'd post some food shit that I've been meaning to post for a while, but everytime I would start to write, I would begin to nod off because of my fatigue. I seriously felt like a mindless zombie most of last week. Which sucks because I'm trying to get my calendar started and I feel like I missed a whole week that I could have spent shopping for the costumes and what not. This is going to be a huge project and I need it ready for print by early May!

Okay on to the food and shit.

Hamburger Habit (click photos to see full sizes)
    First what I wore...
^I luv this Hello titty shirt that my sister got for me when I bought my new boobage. =) Pink skull tank-hot topic, shoes- Steve Madden, gray leggings- lvlx, gray hat-Target only $12!

^ Close up of hello titty. =P I have a huge collection of funny printed tshirts and tanks. I usually wear tshirts (i cut off the tops) or tanks when I go out or when I go to work. I always dress casually and comfortably, unless I'm going on a date. I don't even really comb my hair, which is why I wear hats a lot. =P I'm a lazy ass. Well, I just don't like strangers bothering me when I'm out and about, so I try to keep my daily clothes simple.

First off, I enjoy fancy restaurants and being wined and dined, but I fucking love hamburgers. Before I had to start watching my weight I would eat hamburgers and fries every other day. I still eat burgers once or twice a week if I'm doing the low carb deal, I just cut the bread and fries. Hamburger Habit is a clean 50's style restaurant that's actually one of my favorite burger/sandwich joints in LA. When I first moved to west LA in '99 I lived a few blocks away and I would walk there with l my little niece at least once a week to enjoy one of many favorites that they have to offer. Now that I live a bit further away, I still get food from there often.

^Cute clean whimsical decor. Lots of coca cola memorabilia. They play old 50's diner music. Which is great, reminds me of my grandparent's music. Music that evokes fantasies of the good ol' days.

^The extensive menu. They also have funny signs like "Be Nice or Leave Please" and "Come Back Soon, We Need the Money!" It's cute. It really matches the fun attitude of some of the OG workers in this joint. Lots of cool characters running the place. =)

Hamburger habit uses high quality lean ground chuck steak for their burger meat. Like in-n-out, the meat is fresh delivered fresh, never frozen, daily, but in-n-out has super tiny meat patties. Don't get me wrong, I like in-n-out's cheesy double doubles with their creamy secret sauce, but let's face it, the meat is almost non existent, even in the double double. I always end up with half a sandwich with no meat at all pfsh. In-n-out has better secret sauce, that's all.

Hamburger Habit has a great menu with lots of choices other than the regular burger and fries. Some of my favorites are the Archie Bonker ( Grilled polish sausage with spanish onions, mexican tomatoes, mustard, mayo and lettuce on a french roll), My chikity (chicken sandwich), The works (chili cheese burger), The Habit forming (patty melt with swiss cheese and grilled onions on toasted rye). They also have veggie and turkey burgers, hot buttered corn on the cob, and fresh squeezed orange juice that is always fucking delicious. I get 2 of their fresh ojs whenever I come in. Mix it it with gin when I get home. (haha i'm so ghetto... sippin' gin n juice...well none of that for a while)

For this trip, I had the habit forming and my friend got the chicken sandwich with bacon. OMG the bacon. Hamburger Habit has THE BEST BACON on their sandwiches. It's super thick and crisp. I've never had better bacon on a sandwich anywhere. Actually, after I introduced Hamburger Habit to this friend, he started going like every day and he still eats there a few times a week. The workers know him so well now and always give him 2 for1 coupons that other people bring in, so he can reuse them. haha. Speaking of the service, these guys are awesome. Some of them are the same guys that worked there back in '99. They are friendly, witty, and full of great personality. It's a great neighborhood joint.

    The food...

    ^The Habit forming patty melt
The ground chuck steak is always good. Plenty of swiss cheese...creamy...oozy...yummy. The rye bread is nicely toasted, but my favorite is the perfectly carmelized grilled onions. They are so sweet and the perfect texture.

    ^My chikity with BACON!
This chicken sandwich is always good. I love the the tangy sauce that they use. The lettuce and tomato is always fresh. The fries are always crisp and fresh.
    The bacon...

I don't know if you can see just how thick and perfectly cooked this bacon is. If you like bacon on your sandwiches...this is the place to try in LA. In-n-out doesn't even offer bacon on their burgers!

Another reason why I love this place...

They have jalepeno tabasco which I love to mix with my ketchup. Why don't they have it at all hamburger joints. Its fuckin' good meng. Oh and they give out those yummy mexican caramel lollipops. They are a nice treat. I keep them in my car to snack on every now and then. They are creamy, sticky, and sort of have a hint of rum flavor which I like.
Guess that's all. Soon I'll do a quick blog about simple self portraiture tips as requested by
miu miu and of course more food. =) xoxo

  • Urasawa "I sprinkle diamonds on everything I eat..."

"Two reasons...1 it's the most baller shit you could possibly do to your food and 2 it makes my dookie twinkle, man." -Dave Chappelle

Well, actually there were no diamonds in any of the dishes at Urasawa, but I sure felt like I had a fair portion of 23 karat gold in my food. Urasawa is the ULTIMATE Japanese dining experience. It's located on Rodeo Drive in Beverly hills. They only serve 11 people a night and it's $350 per person before drinks. I was so excited to finally try this place and I'm so glad that I did.(click images to enlarge)

^What I wore: Dress-Bebe, Gloves-Legs Ave, Shoes-Aldo, Necklace-NaHoku, Earrings- Givenchy. I didn't really have time to do my hair and makeup well, because I was so fatigued. This was when I was starting to get sick. *Thanks, ladies for all your warm wishes and wonderful advice. I'm feeling a lot better now. =)
The atmosphere in this restaurant is not as fancy as I expected for $350 per person joint. It's very small and I didn't care too much for the wall color. Well, the gold color was okay, but the green sort of reminded me of something a housewife would've painted her bathroom circa 1993. Actually the green paint was the only thing that wasn't nice. The decor was cute, simple, and clean. I actually liked the table setting and I hear the sushi bar is made of a special maple and it's sanded down every night. The lights were also a bit bright, but it did make for better pictures and the beautiful food was easier to see.
^View of bar from my table

We made reservations for a table because I'm not a huge fan of sushi bars. (I don't like the feeling of people watching me while I eat...yeah sounds ego-centric why would they watch me when they can watch the master chef at work. meh) The only table away from the bar is in a intimate room sort of separated from the rest of the diners by a glass wall.  It was funny because when we got there, they kicked the two people out of our table and moved them to the bar. It made me feel a tad important for a moment.  haha.

^View of our private table from my seat

I think they only serve 11 people a night which makes the service above and beyond any other place I've been to. The servers were so attentive it was almost scary. They constantly refill your drinks, wipe the table down after every dish, and make each dish a special presentation. They explain how to eat each dish and finish the preparations of some of the dishes in front of you. They are super attentive, friendly, and fricken adorable little Japanese imports. They have lots of sakes on the list. I asked the waitress for suggestions and she said that the Wataribuni was great. Although my date doesn't drink, I ordered a full bottle because carafe was way to small for me. I think most of you know by now that I drink like a 300lb sailor. This is now my favorite sake. It is so smooth and has a wonderful aroma. It was $200 for the bottle. I believe I finished half and they wrapped the bottle for me to take home.
    ^Waiting for my meal =)

    Now for the deliciousness...
    -crab salad-
refreshing and delicious. this was the calm before the storm.
*Okay I'm a jackass. I was so excited to eat, that I forgot to take a picture of the first dish!. Well, I was about to take a picture of my date's half eaten salad and our adorable little waitress asked me not to photograph anything after it had been touched. I was sort of bummed, but she was right. I wouldn't want to display a broken work of art. She was kind enough to remind me when to snap a photo of each dish. She even set each dish up for a mini shoot before she set it up for eating. *

-monk fish liver in pickled ginger topped with caviar-omfg this was so delicious. the monk fish was tender and perfect. This is actually the BEST monkfish liver I've ever had. I think I felt my eyes roll back as I enjoyed the flavors melting together in my mouth.

-crab custard topped with salmon egg topped with gold-The custard was the perfect creamy consistency and it had yummy chunks of sweet tender crab. The salmon egg was super fresh it was like little beads of angel piss bursting in my mouth. The gold-straight baller.

-Japanese root veggies, fish egg ,black bean, sashimi, shrimp-Such an interesting dish. I was biting into a potpourri of sweet then sour then pungent, then sweet, then mildly salty, then sweet. It's so different and hard to describe. It was just amazing.

-Toro and other white fish sashimi with fresh wasabi served on a beautiful ice block hand carved by the chef- Very delicious. Each piece was like butter. The fresh wasabi was refreshing with a lovely verdant aroma.

-ginko nut, shrimp, sea urchin, mountain potato, shitake, wasabi, more gold-Fucking delicious. Creamy, sweet, slightly pungent. I swear every dish is perfectly balanced. Another beyond perfect dish. More gold-ballerific.

-cod fish tempura, ginger radish sauce-The codfish was like melted butter. It oozed into my mouth and I almost cried it was so good. =) You mix the aromatic ginger radish paste into the sauce just before consuming for extra freshness.

-Crab with uni-^Another spectacular dish. The uni (sea urchin) was so sweet and yummy. The flavors together were exquisite! My date doesn't usually like uni, even from Sushi Zo, but he did enjoy this.

-sea weed broth shabu shabu with foie gras, japanese kobe beef, lobster-The waitress cooked up each piece to perfection before us. Then she placed it in the sauce for us to enjoy. I loved each piece. I was so full at this point, but I still savored every bite. The lobster was so tender and sweet. The kobe flavorful and succulent. The foie gras melted in my mouth...so wonderful.

-Seaweed Broth from the Shabu Shabu-So good, but I was getting full so I only had a few sips.

-Sushi: Toro, seared toro, japanese mackerel-Okay the sushi dishes are outstanding, but equivalent to my beloved Sushi Zo which is only about $100 per person. Each piece melts in your mouth and the rice is really good, but again it is exactly like Sushi Zo when it comes to flavor and quality.

-Sushi: lobster, spanish makerel, whitefish-same as the dish above. Well actually, I don't think they have lobster at sushi zo. This lobster was still alive while he was serving it up. Almost everything was alive while he starting chopping it up. crazy. kinda sad, but pretty baller.

-tamago-I usually don't like tamago too much. Everywhere I go I'll take one bite and pass on the rest to save room for other stuff. I've never been like omg I love tamago, nor have I ever craved it until now. This tamago was whipped to a really light, heavenly consistency. It was almost like a really light, siky, and fluffy angel food cake that was sweetened to perfection. I felt like I was taking a bite out of a cloud in heaven.

-mountain peach, grapefruit jelly, other exotic fruit jellies-This was interesting and delicious. Tangy, sweet, citrus. Nothing super amazing, but still great and very unique.

-rice dessert with red beans, chestnut, sesame, and more gold. finish with green tea-Sweet, sticky, and melted in my mouth. The green tea was aromatic and floral. The perfect finish.  More gold

-fricken balltastic. I was so full, but I even ate my date's because he's allergic to nuts-Red tea-

    Standard, high quality

-The Bill-After tipping approx $1200! The date almost faints, then reassures me that I was worth it. Aww. =)

Me in the drunk in the bathroom after the mealI look 3mos pregnant. Ain't no shame in my game. This is one well fed bitch. =)

Was it worth it? Being the foodie that I am, it was totally worth it. I know I didn't pay for this meal, but I would have definitely went here on my own eventually because I fucking live to eat. I'm living my dream. Trying the best foods in the world. This is the best of the best in LA. If you can afford designer purses or expensive clothes, and you love to treat yourself to outstanding dining experiences you should definitely go for this place. You won't be disappoint. If you only want great sushi, Sushi Zo has equivalent sushi, but this place is more than sushi. The cooked masterpieces are absolutely to die for. I was secretly hoping that it wouldn't be that good because now I'm gonna be yearning for it for a while. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to try such amazing food.  This place is perfect for a special occasion. Japanese cuisine probably can't get much better than this. My date probably didn't enjoy the meal as much as I did because he does have lots of dietary restrictions (doesn't eat meat, not a fan of fish eggs, and allergic to nuts) and since the meals are planned days in advance he didn't really get any substitutions. Cool for me, since I got to pig out on what he couldn't consume. Well, maybe not so cool.. I can be such a glutton.Well, guess that's all. xoxo
  • Pink's contest: The Good Wife and more food

I've never done any of these blog contest thingamajigs and I'm actually feeling a bit shy about it. Me, shy? haha. Well, I decided to do it because it seemed like a fun way to get a monthly photo shoot done and  I am still courting Ms.Pink. I'm all about killing as many birds as I can with one stone. You feel me? So here's my entry...  (click photos to enlarge)

she's perky, congenial, enchanting, and sweet
she smells like vanilla and freshly baked treats

he couldn't buy a better girl through goodwife.com

she cooks up a storm as she irons his clothes
and when he is busy she tivos his shows.

she strives for perfection, she's never a mess
works gracefully  in heels and corseted dress
    s

he never will argue, she only agrees
she patiently strives to keep him at ease

he feels lucky to see that she knows her place
he makes trips to the kitchen to admire her... face

to him she's perfection, she's his whole life
but when he's away she plays with your wife

after 3 years of bliss, she's a citizen can't find her
she fled with your lady. she loves the vaginer.

Shit, you know you like my rhyming skills. Pfsh! haha. Okay. Okay. So I rhymed find her with vaginer... sue me. I actually enjoyed getting all dolled up for my pretty Pink kitty. I'm not really doing this to win. This was just the perfect way to get my creative juices flowing. =)The outfit: corset-Trashy lingerie, fishnet top-I forget, tutu-hot topic, stockings-legs ave, glove- hot topic, shoes-cathy jean, choker-hot topic, necklace-na hoku (a xmas gift... white gold with a beautiful tahitian pearl and diamonds...thanks, I fucking love it!), bracelets-hot topic/1928, apron- I pretty much ghetto rigged it. It's a tube bra with a lace garter pinned to the bottom held up by a lace bow. Oh and the eyelashes I'm sporting I got from my secret santa Maria at Pink's pow wow. Love them! =)

    Gulfstream

^Dress-three dots, boots-Steve Madden 50% off =)I went to gulfstream at the Century City mall last night. Gulfstream is a nice healthy seafood restaurant. They have a full bar and a decent wine selection. The ambiance is casual and modern. It's a pretty little joint. The service is friendly and quick.

    room from my seat
dozen oysters appetizer. yum.artichokes. perfectly seasoned. very fresh and tasty. some of the best artichokes I've had.crab cakes. these are my favorite crab cakes. it has huge pieces of sweet delicious crab. if you go here for the first time, get the god damned things.close up of the crab meat. fuck yeah.

I like gulfstream because the food is really healthy, simple, and fresh. My favorites are the artichokes and crab cakes. They also have really delicious fresh fish entrees. I don't think the specialty drinks on their drink menu are great, but they can make your favorite standard drink. Well, they actually do have a pretty good pomegranate martini. Which I had as my dessert cocktail, since those dopes don't make chocolate martinis. After dinner, I was really craving chocolate, so we stopped by Leonidos to try it out.

I only got a couple of pieces. They are pretty damned good. I wish I bought more. The texture was nice and velvety and the flavors were fricken good. Fuck, I really wish I bought more.Guess that all, folks. xoxo

  • switched to blogger

So I finally made the switch from xanga to blogger. choke-a-bitch.blogspot.com

I pretty much like the whole blogger set up a lot better than xanga's. Well, I might keep my xanga updated and all for my old peeps. I'm not sure if I'll keep the sites updated identically...we'll see. Blogging is loads of work and I'm always so fucking busy.  I just think it's a lot easier for newer folks to get in touch with me through blogger. I sometimes think that xanga has a pretty segregated feeling to it.

On with my blog.On Saturday, I went to the Beverly Center to do some shopping before my 9pm dinner reservation at Matsuhisa's. (pretty much what I was supposed to do on Friday)There's always something funky going on at the Beverly Center. When I got there, they were having some Nip Tuck promotion going on. They basically had 3 adorable Nip Tuck dancers interacting with an audience via chat on computers in front of the glass cages. People could request them to get up and do a dance, vote for their favorite dancer, and ask them important questions like what color panties were they wearing.

They didn't have what I went there for, and I couldn't really think of anything else in particular that I wanted (surprise), so I stopped by the bar and got a scooby snack shooter and a rum and coke. I finally realized that I wanted some new boots, so I hit up a few shoe stores. When I got to Steve Madden they gave me some scratcher and I ended up getting a 50% off entire purchase ticket! They said I was the first to get that ticket, and I don't know if they were bullshitting, but I was pretty happy. I ended up getting some boots and 2 other pairs of shoes for only $162! 3 pairs for the price of 1, that's fuckin' awesome. I was actually thinking about getting more, but the mall was closing when I walked in, so I felt kind of bad about keeping them open. Anyways,  I was happy about that awesome last minute deal. =)^Dress-Juicy Couture, Stockings-Calvin Klein, Boots-BCBG, necklace-Hot Topic, Bracelets-1928

    Matsuhisa

Matsuhisa is a restaurant that chef Nobu Matsuhisa's first restaurant which opened in Beverly Hills 1987. I love the Nobu chain (with the exception of the not-so-great Nobu Malibu). The dishes are well balanced, innovative, fresh, and just plain fucking delicious. Nobu really set the bar for lots of the modern sushi joints around. Matsuhisa is one of my favorite sushi restaurants. It's no traditional sushi joint, but it is outstanding. The decor in Matsuhisa is okay. It definitely could use an update, but I think it does have a sort of whimsical flare. I get the feeling that the art and decor was something that Nobu himself chose to keep around. The art is dated and pretty much nothing goes together. Maybe each piece has a meaning or was a gift. I mean one picture behind the sushi bar totally looks like a picture you'd see on a trapper keeper. On the walls there are neat little shadows painted as if they were people sitting at the tables. Not sure if they are shadows of celebrities or friends, but I like them.

^Our shadows on the wall. I was sporting my glasses and double chin for dinner.
The restaurant can feel crowded at times. The tables are pretty close together, similar to a lot of other Nobu restaurants. I swear I was fantasizing about shoving my chopsticks down the throat of the lady sitting at the table next to me. She was loud and she was just a fucking asshole. She was basically talking to her date about how she is embarrassed of her mom for not being educated. "It drives me crazy when she speaks with such bad grammar...how she uses double negatives all the time. It's so embarrassing...she did her best raising me, but she embarrasses me..." I felt disgusted with her. She was such a fucking obnoxious cunt. Bragging about her education while expressing her intolerance for her poor uneducated mom. That bitch is going to have asshole kids who will grow up ashamed of her. The old me would've said something or perhaps walked over and vomited in her food. Some people! Her date sounded like an asshole, too but her loud mouth and big head pretty much stole the show...sorry where was I? haha
^From my seat. I'm practically sharing a table with the cunt.

The food, service, and drinks are top notch. I have no complaints when it comes to Matsuhisa as a whole restaurant. It's simply awesome. I always get the $150 premium omakase, and I'm always in love with what I get.

My date doesn't drink, so I ordered 250 ml of chilled Dai-ginjo yk5o for myself which is a good amount for the meal.
The Nobu yk50 is really yummy. It's refreshing, smooth, and has a nice aroma. I like it a lot better than Nobu the sake which is a bit more on the dry side. Matsuhisa also has special sake cocktails, but I think their sake is just fine as is.
^Seafood Springroll with caviarCrispy, slightly sweet, slightly salty. The perfect starter.^Oyster in olive oil, salmon egg, kampachi chili jelly, scallop with dried misoSuper delicious and fresh. The scallop was the best.
Heart of palm salad with assorted sashimiVery refreshing. The sashimi is super fresh and tasty. The sauce is nice and tart-makes my mouth water.^Lobster, shitake, asparagusDelicious. Rich tasty sauce, crisp asparagus fragrant shitake. Buttery lobster with the perfect texture...If you ever go to Nobu or Matsuhisa and you're not sure what to order, get this or the Japanese Kobe.
^Japanese kobe beefPerfectly seasoned and prepared. Melts in your mouth like butter. So fucking good!^Assorted sushi.I was pretty stuffed. I didn't eat all of the rice, but I still ate all the meat. Fresh and yummy.^Crab misoI was so full, but  took a couple of sips. It was good, but I wanted to save myself for dessert.^Hot fruit with ice creamThis was good. Not too sweet. Tart fruit went nice with the ice cream. I don't think I would've ordered this on my own. They have much better desserts.^Green tea flanI love flan. This was really good. I liked how they had lots of delicious fresh fruit in our desserts. I was sort of craving chocolate, but this was good enough.

    Little Fat Sheep

I've been doing the whole thing Shabu Shabu about twice a week ever since my last trip to San Francisco. I really wanted to try Chinese hotpot since I was reading so many comparisons while reading shabu shabu reviews. So on Sunday, I decided to go to Little Fat Sheep in Monterey park as suggested by Marie. I normally wouldn't drive so far to get food, but it's actually on the way to my mom's and I had to drop something off for her, so it worked out fine. This is how I usually dress when I go out. I like to be comfy. Tank top-guess, top- Guess, Leggings-LVLX, Scarf- Badgley Mischka, ugly Uggs (shit if you can find a comfier winter shoe, let me know), Hat from some random SF boutique.Little Fat Sheep is Mongolian style Chinese hotpot. It's in the middle of a bunch of Asian shops and restaurants, and when I got there it was packed with a bunch Asians old and young, which was a good sign. When you walk in you are struck by the strong almost intoxicating aroma of herbs and spices. After partying so hard for so long, I finally felt like I was about to do my body some good. The smell had me salivating like a saint bernard in heat.

^Haha. It's like the angel's of the lamb we're eating. Grazing on green pastures in heaven.

It didn't take long to get our seats which was great. I was ready to grub. The decor was pretty funny. They had a wall with huge photo murals. Huge lush fields with a clear blue sky and of course fluffy almost glowing sheep. I felt like I was in the middle of a good K or salvia trip. haha.

They have a huge menu with lots of meat, seafood, and vegetable options. They had everything beef, shrimp, pork blood cakes, lamb, seafood dumplings, tofu, a variety of mushrooms, winter melon, bok choy....the list goes on and on. I was surprised at how much they had to offer. We ordered 2 lambs, 2 beefs, squid dumplings, shitake mushrooms, oyster mushrooms, bok choy, napa cabbage, corn, spinach, and tofu. Okay. Being from West LA, I usually pay a lot for food, so when I was ordering I was assuming that th veggie portions were going to be small at about $3 a pop. haha. I was mistaken. It was just the 2 of us and I think we could have easily fed 4 with what I ordered. haha.
    ^for 2. fuck yeah
You have the broth choices of spicy, not spicy , or half and half. I got the half and half.
^Haha. the sheep peeking at me from behind the plant. I'll honor your brother's death by savoring the feast before me. He did not die in vain, my friend.
The broth was so tasty. I could not stop eating. I ate till I pretty much couldn't breathe any more. This meal totally hit the spot. I really liked the mild and the spicy. The meat probably wasn't the best quality and I'll probably bring my own dipping sauces since their's weren't the best, but the veggies were fresh and I really liked the squid dumplings.  Plus, all this food was only $52 including drinks! I couldn't believe it. I easily spend about $80+ at Shabu Shabu places in LA for 1/4 of the food. I definitely spend way to much on food where I live, but I know I'm paying for the location. Damn, good. Super satisfying, super affordable, and they close at 1pm and there's plenty of parking. The drive isn't so bad after traffic dies down. I think I'll go back tonight. =) If anyone knows of any other good Hotpot joints, let me know.

    That's all for now. xoxo

  • Happy F*cking New Year, Everyone! Warning:Lots of pics

I woke up feeling pretty shitty. I actually went to bed at 5am last night and still ended up waking up at 4pm. 11 hrs of sleep bleh. I was supposed to go shopping then head over to Matsuhisa for dinner, but I was feeling nauseous after I showered and decided to cancel my plans. I fell back asleep and just woke up. Time to blog about Fucking New Year '09!
    (click photos to enlarge)
For New Year's Eve we ended up going to Space Island. I initially planned on rocking my black tutu petticoat with a 20 inch corset, and a veiled top hat, but I figured that I should try to stay comfy since we intended on partying HARD til the break o' dawn. So I ended up wearing my super comfy YaG Couture zip-down hooded mini dress with some Uggs,  and  some gorilla tape for ummm wardrobe malfunctions. Earrings-bebe, necklace-Tiffany

^Comfy and ready to head out.

    <Getting in from the cold.

Space Island was surprisingly empty this year. I guess it was good for us, since I'm not a huge fan of super crowded joints. We were able to find seats, and the even opened up the VIP area which would have been an extra $75 to pay for. Well, I probably would've been able to schmooze my way up there, but I didn't have to. So that was cool. I'm glad we got up to the VIP area because since the warehouse was pretty empty, it was fucking cold everywhere else. I'm so glad I chose my the hooded dress. I would've been freezing my ass off in the other outfit. I never bring a jacket or any nice purses to rave type clubs. I don't like to risk losing shit while I'm a kite. I felt bad for the people running the place though. They said they pretty much took a $10,000 hit because of the terrible turn out. Pretty sad, but at least we  had a good time.
<eh right before the countdown. Waiting for the stroke of midnight....
<me and the sis trying to get people excited for the new year.
    <borrowed someones light-up glasses for a photo.
    <Umm. haha.
<Hot asian youth showing off his skills.  Wtf?

<Bam! kicked it up a notch.
    <Okay, peacock lady wins.
<asked her to pose with me. I'm pretty sure I have a pick with the same lady doing the same pose from bondage ball back in the day. haha.
    <Goofin' off
<Dweebin' out. He has a pic of my ass on his shirt. from our second book, Zombie Cadence.
<with one of the starlets of the "Hot Asian Youth" Homo-Erotic calendar in the flesh. Since '06...damn! haha.

      <Omg. haha!

<a sea of friends. aww. this was before the ceiling started falling on us because of all the loud ass bass.
<Mmm... look what I found in the VIP.
    < =)
    <The beautiful people...
<The little sis finally showed up from Giant. No way I was gonna go to an outdoor venue, but I heard it was nice.
    <with the sisters and broseph.
<with the new sis in training.

We ended up leaving around 6am to continue at my sisters house. I have to say, I don't think I've partied this hard in years.

I basically kept partying till something in my brain told me that if I were to go any further I'd be dead. This is the first time that my brain was like, woe slow down cow girl. So I stopped and woke up in the middle of the hardwood floor unable to move for 20 minutes, but feeling fucking awesome. hahaha. Some people will never go through life seeing what I've seen, and that's good for them. As for me, I'll try anything at least once. I don't like the feeling of missing out and I'm not afraid to fall. It's about falling down and picking yourself up.

Man, it's fucking '09 now.  I'm actually glad '08 is over. I don't think I've gotten more sick in any other year. '08 pretty much sucked a lot of ass to me. I have a feeling '09 is going to be so much better. I'm pretty excited about it. =)

I don't usually get into the whole resolution thing. It's sort of like making a promise to yourself, and I am the kind of girl who NEVER makes a promise that she can't keep. So I usually make pretty broad or lame resolutions that include words like "try" in them. I will TRY not to randomly punch strangers in the neck...shit like that. This year, I actually thought more about my resolutions. It's my chance to actually force myself to do better.

    In '09 I WILL:
    1. Spend more time with my family. At this point any amount of time is more than what I've been putting in. I can do better than how I've been doing.  This year family comes before everything...including money, bros, and hos.
    2. Finish my big secret project. Hell yes! By the hammer of Thor, you guys are gonna love this shit.
    3. Be more artistic. I'm going to take at least 1 set of artistic photos a month, aside from regular work shit.
    4. Go back to school. I left school with a 4.0 and only 2 classes away from transferring to UCLA through the TAG program. Why did I quit? I had big changes in my life and I started a new life. I got a new job and started making lots of money. I decided I liked making lots of money. Why go back? Well, I actually know what I want to do now. Before I was unsure and I didn't want to commit. I will take at least 2 classes this year to start shit up slowly. =)
    5. Be more social on a more real level. This is way too complicated to explain.
    6. TRY to drink less. haha.
    7. Continue to be more patient with the jerks and morons that poison this earth. I'm better off not getting involved with stupid bullshit, like THEIR drama.
    8. Spend my money more wisely.
    9. TRY to be more positive about life. I have a really dark cynical side that I need to learn to keep at bay before it tears me apart from the inside out.
    10. To start driving again. This is kind of an embarrassing one. I pretty much stopped driving about 3 years ago out of stress and really sheer laziness. Time to get back behind the wheel.
    11. oh yeah, TRY not to randomly punch people in the neck.

Happy New Year, everyone. Hope '09 will be joyful, prosperous, and totally awesome! xoxo <I'll end this entry with a cute/random pic of Pam using my fun bags as a pillow. Aww...

  • Food, models, thoughts...

Here are a couple of restaurant reviews and some pics I've shot of my girls.
    Sushi Zo
I've been wanted to write about this place for a long time. So here goes...To me, most sushi places are either great, bad, or outstanding. There really is no room for just decent sushi in my book. I think just decent sushi=bad sushi in general. Sushi Zo has got to be one of the best traditional sushi joints that I've been to in Los Angeles. I have to say, it's better than Sushi Sushi  in Beverly Hills, which is also an outstanding sushi place.
<Before filling my belly at Sushi Zo... Dress-Bebe, Shoes-Aldo (Taken in November)

The ambiance in Sushi Zo isn't so great. It's small, a bit sterile, and a bit bright, with minimal decor. I was actually a bit overdressed when I first went.  Actually, it's pretty much a hole in the wall that turns out to be right next to the laundromat I go to. The good part is that there's plenty of parking because it's in a shopping center. You don't go here for the ambiance though. You go for some of the best damned sushi that'll ever touch your wormy little lips.

They ONLY do Omakase (chef's choice) at Sushi Zo. You basically tell them what you DON'T like and the waitress starts bringing out the sushi. 1-2 pieces at a time. You tell the waitress when you are getting full, so she can give you your last piece. Don't forget to tell them when you are ready to call it quits, or the food will keep comming. They have a written set of rules similar to Sushi Sushi's.
When the waitress brings out each piece she will tell you "soy sauce" or "no soy sauce." Follow her lead and you'll be good. Every piece has the right amount of sauce/wasabi so there's no need for extra wasabi. They won't give u any to put in your soy sauce. That would be total blasphemy.
<Pieces in the order that they were served. I had all of this and enjoyed EVERY bite!

The quality of the sushi is just as good, if not better than Sushi Sushi's. Every piece melts in your mouth. The main thing that puts Sushi Zo above  Sushi Sushi, is the rice. The rice in the sushi is sooooooo good. Ohmygawd!!!  I swear every piece is like biting into little chunks of  heaven. I have to warn everyone though, If you haven't had sushi this good, you will definitely be turned off to your regular joints for a while. The spanish mackerel=heaven. Toro=heaven. Eel=heaven. Basically if you tell them what you don't like, you will not be disappointed. Everything about Sushi Zo's food is perfect! You might even discover that you actually like some things that you wouldn't normally like at regular sushi joints.  I'm not usually a huge fan of sea urchin unless it's super fresh because it tends to be bitter at times. The sea urchin in squid is sweet, buttery and fucking delicious.

I think the cost was over $100 pp. I also had a $75 bottle of cold sake. (cheaper than buying it by the glass if you drink as much as I do) I've been back plenty of times. It's one of my favorite sushi joints!

    Sushi Roku
<Before heading to Sushi Roku. Dress-Bebe, Stockings Hot Topic. Shoes-Cathy Jean. My closet is overflowing with dresses, so I have a bunch hanging on my door.

Sushi Roku is more of a trendy sushi spot in West Hollywood. The ambiance is cool and sexy. It's no Sushi Zo, but  the food is great. They have lots of the more modern sushi rolls and dishes which I do enjoy. They also have a full bar with some very interesting and fun cocktails. Sushi Roku does tend to get a little loud and crowded because it is a popular spot. I actually prefer going when it's not so busy.

Delicious floral drink (forgot the name). Refreshing, not too sweet, Garnished with a real flower. This drink smells, looks, and tastes great. I'd get it again.
<Toro Sashimi- very good.  Not too fatty. Great texture
<Seared ahi with crispy garlic. This was great, I really liked the crispy garlic with the pungent sauce.
<Lobster medallions with truffle and ginger-this was pretty delicious. One of my favorite dishes of the evening.
<Spicy tuna with shrimp and more spicy sauce. This was pretty standard. I probably wouldn't order it again.
<I sent back the pear martini because it was a bit too sweet and exchanged it for this Passion and Spice cocktail. It's a vodka drink that is sweet, citrusy, and a bit spicy. I really liked it.
<Baked crab hand roll. You really can't go wrong with a baked crab hand roll at a trendy sushi joint.  I love baked crab rolls.

It's pretty, it's cool, the drinks are good, and I enjoy the food. It wouldn't be my first choice to dine at since it does get busy and there are lots of comparable sushi joints in LA, but I would go back. It would be a nice trendy spot for a dinner party, since it has good cocktails, it would make for nice photo ops, and it's near a lot of clubs.

    James' Beach
<Before heading to James'.  Tube Top- LVLX,  leggings- Rave, Sleeves- Hot Topic, Shoes-Aldo

James Beach is a quaint and casual bar/restaurant that serves modern American comfort food with a little Asian influence. The atmosphere has a relaxed, warm, beachy feel. It definitely has a nice local neighborhood vibe. I wouldn't say the food is outstanding, but it is delicious and it's decent for the price. The food comes out in  huge portions, which is a plus.
James' Beach has a full bar with an extensive drink menu- serving many of their own specialty cocktails as well as traditional and popular cocktails. This is a huge plus, since I love special cocktails. I forgot what cocktail I ordered, but it was a bit sweet and I didn't want to waste calories, so I ordered  an extra shot to pour into my drink. When it comes to drinking, I don't like to how-you-say, "fuck around."
<half assed stitching of the joint. =P
<Oyster appetizer. Briny, mouth watering. Yummy.
< Tuna Tartar with Wonton Crisps. This was good, but they made it look like cat food. haha.
<Seared Ahi Tuna with Wasabi Mashed Potatoes, String Beans, Shiitake Mushroom Vinaigrette. This was really tasty. I liked the shitake vinaigrette with the string beans, and I totally loved the wasabi mashed potatoes. The ahi was a bit tough, but still good.
<Standard crabcakes. Not really outstanding. The potatoes were a bit tough. This dish was OK.

This seems to be a popular spot because it is a few blocks away from the beach and it just has a nice vibe to it. I'll definitely be going back because it is right across the street from my new home away from home in Venice Beach. Its nice for a quick bite, and some yummy cocktails.

    Girls, Girls, Girls
    My sexy girl, Autumn.
      <Legs that don't quit. =)
You'd drool if you were able to see the rest of her sets. Yowzers!

      ...and my lovely Brendita....
<If she was brunette, wouldn't she make the perfect amazonian Wonder Woman?
    I love these girls. <3

    NYE
So I bought tickets to Space Island. I plan on losing my mind and sleeping  through January 1st.
My resolutions....Finish my big secret project....Continue to be more patient with the mongoloid morons that I deal with daily...to follow my artistic instincts more...to drink less...to be more social...to spend more time with my family....hmmm guess that's all for now. Hope you all have a happy, fun, and safe New Year.

  • Pink's XXX MAS NASTY POW WOW, Adam Sandler's xmas party

The other night was fun. I went to Pam (Pink's) xxxmas nasty pow wow with my good friend Tom. It was in Huntington Beach (about 40 min from LA) at a Japanese Hibachi restaurant called Gyu-kaku. We had delicious Japanese bbq, sake, meeting and greeting, gift exchanges, a moderate amount of homosexual action, and lots of T&A. It was my kind of party.

(click any photos twice to see full sizes)

At Gyu-Kaku, they pretty much serve different meats, and veggies that you grill on a Japanese charcoal grill. We ordered 2 combos for the large group and we also got 2 bottles of cold sake to get things rolling. They had a 2for1 special on sake, which was a huge plus. The food was good...although I have to say the service was a bit slow, but they were super friendly and helpful...but this isn't a restaurant review, so that's all I'll say.
<Grilling up some skrimps and rabbit food. I tried to design the grill to match the naughty theme.

The food wasn't the focus. (although Tom and I were starving when we got there apparently 30 min early. haha. We just order a sake flight to hold us over while we waited...) The focus was the great company that we were able to enjoy. These were some very nice, down-to-earth, and (not to mention) adorable ladies. I honestly had no idea what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. =)

^The sweet ladies of the night.

^Mean muggin with the sexy lil hostess, Pam.

<Tom trying to get me to put the tongs down for serious photo. (He then proceeded to put bunny ears on me in the next pose) =P

^We found out his shirt was on inside out. haha.

I went to the Pleasure Chest the night before the Pow wow to get a few gifts for all the ladies. A funny side story...I saw the dude who plays Carlton on the Fresh Prince of Bel Air at the sex shop. I think he was with his wife or girlfriend. Pretty random. It's funny living in LA.... Anyways,  here's what I put together...
Cum-kleen vanilla scented personal wipes, protection, and candy lady parts

    ^some had vagina candies

^ others had boob candies like so...

^Me handing out the gifts that keep giving. I loved their reactions. =) I gave the extra packet to our server. He looked, well confused and happy. haha.

I also got a bunch of little things for Pam, since I am trying to court her and what have you.

^Among the gifts photographed...Sweetened blow, a YardDick (for measuring penises and geometry homework), a pink kink kit which came with a mini whip, a collar that says "naughty kitty" and a blindfold with hearts. Also not photographed I think I got her some soap that's made to wash away sins, a Skinny Dip candle...

I didn't forget her boyfriend Cliff... Stroke on a Rope

^I hope he enjoys his wiener cleaner, while I move in on his lady. hahaha =P I kid, I kid.
<Well....Don't leave your girl 'round me. True playa for real...haha. She actually got to finally motor boat me, but sorry folks, I don't have a photo of that.

Pam gave out some gifts for all the ladies.

    ^In these cute boxes.

^Sexy panties. I got her to personally mark her scent on mine. These will be up for sale on ebay in the next few weeks. Get them while there still fresh with her saliva. All proceeds will go to charity...A stripper named charity. No I'll cherish them forever. Maybe I'll rock 'em in a sexy photo shoot...who'd like some of that action?

We did a secret Santa gift swap. I got a nice mac 217 brush, some cute false lashes, and more rubbers from my secret santa, Maria. [Santa Maria...wasn't that the largest of the three Columbus ships that he used to sail the ocean blue? I remember learning that in 3rd grade, but I can't remember much of last week.-sigh-] Anyways,  thanks Maria. You're a sweetie.   Also, I believe it was  Diana who brought the delicious peanut brittle, which Tom really enjoyed. =) Too bad I wasn't able to really chat with you lovely ladies from the other table much. The night flew by so quickly.

I was the secret Santa of the lucky Losi.

^I got her some of my favorite skincare products from Arcona.com. It's Arcona's winter remedy kit, which has a Raspberry Resurfacing Peel, Triad Pads, and the Peptide Hydrating Complex. These products are used together to resurface, tone, and hydrate your skin. Not that she needs it with her baby face. =) I love it because it makes my skin feel as smooth as a 3 month old's bootie. Seriously. I fricken love Arcona products. Arcona's signature rejuvenation deluxe facial is also my all time favorite facial. Good shit! I also threw in a Skinny Dip Candle. I love the skinny dip candle especially when the weather is cold. I basically just light one before I hop in the shower and drizzle the warm moisturizing goodness on my arms, legs, and tits when I hop out. It seals the moisture in my skin all day. It's the ONLY moisturizer that protects me from winter itch. It's also nice for a sexy massage with a lover. Poor the hot wax directly on to your lover's beautiful chest or bottom....Oh don't get me started. haha. =)

Before heading out we snapped a few more photos.
^Me, Pink, and Cliff doing a bootie pose. haha. Tom's a giant.

^Tom breaking up a kiss fight.

^With the adorable Tiffany. She couldn't drink because she was not of age yet. I don't know how she was able to tolerate my obnoxious drunk ass sitting across from her. =) <3

^The whole gang. From the left...The only other caucasian amongst the asians who's name eludes me at the moment (sorry, I'm terrible with names), Cliff, Tom, me, Kim Tia, Cinthia, Tiffany, Diana, Pam, Losi, Mimi, Joey, Mimi's man, Maria and her man, and Joey's man.

Break down of what I wore...Dress- Bebe(I also have it in red), stockings- nordstrom brand, gloves from Dollhouse Betty in San Francisco, shoes- Aldo, necklace and earrings-Givenchy, bracelets-1928, hair flower- hot topic, purse- miu miu.

I really hated being the first to leave, but Tom was invited to Adam Sandler's xmas party, so we headed back to the Pickwick gardens in LA to hit that up. The place was huge! I wish I could've taken pictures, but cameras weren't allowed. I actually could have if I wanted to. They didn't check us for cameras, but I was being respectful and all. It was like a 10 year old's wet dream. They had bowling, an ice skating rink, a dance room, and a concert room where Adam's band was performing. Apparently they were serving food like fried chicken, mac n cheese, applesauce. haha. They did have a bar in every room which was cool.

I felt totally over dressed for the party. Everyone was wearing comfy clothes and all. It was a really chill event, but their were lots of people. It was funny because I saw lots of the obscure characters that you would see in most Adam's movies. I liked that. It was fun spotting them. First, we went into the concert area where Adam's band performed a 3 hr jam. We caught maybe the last half hour of it. We then went to the dance room where we danced until the dj ended the show. It was funny because Rob Schneider kept requesting songs for the dj to stay playing. I had a good buzz, so I was all dancing and rapping along like a fool. haha. He requested some good songs like "Gin and Juice" and  Ice Cube's "Today was a Good Day." I was quite surprised at how well I knew the lyrics to those last few songs. haha.

After the party, we headed to Jerry's and had some chicken soup with Rob Schneider and his family. It was nice.

I don't have any pics of the end of the evening, but you can check out a funny
video in Tom's blog that show's clips from the pow wow, Adam's xmas party, the meal at Jerry's, and other fun stuff that happened that day.  Enjoy! Tom also has lots of other videos on his website. He has lots of great content on his site.

This blog took forever for me to slap together because I was trying to teach myself some simple html for the linking and stuff. I even took a break to watch Eastwood's Gran Torino, which I thought was pretty good. It was funny to me. "click clack, ding dong, and charlie chan" haha classic! The ghetto hmong gangs reminds me of when I was a teenager. Anyways, I'm just learning how to use some of the functions for this xanga page. Funny how I never really tried. I am also starting that whole twitter business. If anyone wants to add me on that, be my guest. That's all for now.

    Happy holidays everyone! xoxo

  • Happy Holidays, bitches! Brand new pics.

Just shot these in my living room...

  • Ramblin' woman

I've been so busy working and shopping, I feel like I barely have time to think straight. Today I woke up feeling a bit under the weather, so I think I'll take it easy and keep popping zicams, so I don't get more sick.   Well, I'm going to do a bit more shopping before the mall closes though. Ahhh! So much to  do! On top of that there's a bunch of drama and bullshit going on in my life... I want to run away sometimes. I SOOO need a vacation.

Last week, was really crazy. I did lots of xmas shopping. I have a huge family. It's insane! I was going around town. Barney's, Saks, the Beverly Center, Highlands, Target, Toys R Us, Costco, the Promenade, Century City Mall, Westside Pavilion, Fox Hills...OMG! The crowds...parking is a fucking bitch, and since they have all these special events going on they blocked off lots of roads, so traffic galore. I can't believe I still have so much more shopping to do. I feel like I've been shopping almost every day for 3 weeks straight!
<Roads blocked off. I see horses and llamas. Something was up...
<They blocked off part of Hollywood Blvd for a Christmas parade.
< and free disney concert. I'm thinking Highschool musical chumps or some bs....Basically took an extra 2 hours to get to Hollywood and Highland to do some shopping and get shabu shabu. Bah!

<This was funny. The Beverly center with some show in the middle of the mall. It had a hunky half naked santa and his jolly ho ho ho's doing circus acts. Note the 2 kids in the bottom corner. They are sitting at tables in the bar...classic. Yes, there's a bar in the middle of the Beverly Center. =)

I wish I could just give everyone cash, but I tried that one year and some people were complaining about how impersonal it was. Last year, I tried the gift card thing...same response. Shit I'd take cash over a gift any day. I can actually buy something I need! I know people say it's the thought that counts, but with some of the gifts I get, I can't help but wonder what they hell they were thinking... haha. Yes, thanks for the adorable Precious Moments porcelain figurine. Oh that boy's puppy dog eyes are so lifelike! I'll put it in my display case with the rest of the useless junk wonderful knickknacks that I've accumulated over the years.  Lord knows that one can never have too many knickknacks. The display case industry must be booming! I kid, well half kid. Man, I sound like a jerk...

Anyways... I spent a whole 3 hrs in a Toys r Us alone trying to find decent gifts for a charity that my job is taking part in. Basically foster kids write specific gifts that they would want and you just pick a kid and buy the gift. Most kids picked things like certain dvds or articles of clothing. There was one kid that actually wrote "Alien duplicator machine. " I felt bad because no one picked him. If an alien duplicator machine existed, it'd probably cost billions of dollars. I admired the kid for having an imagination, but I couldn't choose him because I would have no idea what to get that could dupe an alien duplicator machine. Maybe the kid will grow up to be some evil awesome scientist of some sort.

I was the last to see the list so I had no specific gift to buy. All the kids were taken, so it just said to buy "something that all kids in the orphanage could share". Now I'm a pretty indecisive person, so I must have walked around the store a billion times. I really wanted to get something nice and something that wasn't on the list. I finally decided on an electric keyboard, and an electric drum set. That's something kids can take turns using, plus they can get there artistic juices flowing by making music. =)  I also threw in a couple of Spongebob stuffed animal/dvd sets. I'm guessing you can't go wrong with Spongebob these days.

So I still have lots more shopping to do. I think I'll head out for a bit and see what I can find. Then I think I'll just rest and catch up with my blogs. I have lots of new pics and all that crap...

  • Happy Birthday, Areli!

    Love ya! xoxo
Here are pics from last week...
      <Mmm cake... <With the bday girl. <3 <3
<Boogs putting red frosting on our faces despite the fact the cake was 96% white...a regular Einstein, she is... That shit was hard to get off. haha.
<making out with my nose to urr help get the frosting off. =P
<Homosexual action. Fricken lezbos. haha! <3
<So hot! Hahaha! fuckin' Boogie! I love that girl. She's crazy. =)
