  • Sunday night celebration at AsiaSF

I'll be writing about my SF trip in increments. It won't be in order because half of the photos are on my sisters camera.
After our final tiring day at the APE, we had reservations to eat at San Francisco's AsiaSF restaurant. Basically this hot joint has gender illusionists serve food and  cocktails. They also have very fun hourly performances on the bar. The place is a huge blast. The food was pretty good. Actually I don't really remember if all the food was good because I got completely smashed, but I remember eating a lot. They had a lot of fun specialty cocktails. The service was great. It was the perfect end to our trip to San Francisco. I'm actually quite excited to know that they will be opening an AsiaSF in Hollywood in December. It's such a fun place and interesting place to visit.

Here are some pics from the evening. (Click to enlarge)

<Cobb and I enjoying our billionth gin gimlets.

<With our awesome Filipina server. Vivica rocks.
    <Ice cream...I look facked up!!

The performers....These sassy ladies really know how to put on a show. They had lots of energy. The audience loved them. I was getting loud and rowdy cheering for them. I know how to appreciate a great performance. =)

    <Vivica's first performance. hehe.

    <She's holding fake boobies.

<Performing to the song "All By Myself" she was downing booze with pills and putting on a great show. Talk about a good drama queen. =)
<Vivica again as Tina Turner. Look how much fun the audience is having. =)
<You know you'd hit that. Some of these ladies were really passable-the kinds of illusionists that can make an average girl jealous.
The food clock wise from top left... Ahi Burgers-Freshly ground pan seared ahi tuna, with a teriyaki glaze & horseradish-Chinese cabbage slaw on a scallion focaccia roll; Sesame Steak Salad-Thinly sliced beef tenderloin, seared and tossed in a sesame dressing, piled atop crisp greens, red onions, mint and basil; Porcupines- shrimp, scallops & water chestnuts rolled in cellophane noodles, crisply fried & served with a plum wine-soy dipping sauce; Orange Lamb- lamb sirloin sautéed with a spicy orange glaze served with coconut jasmine rice & Thai cucumber salad; Truffled Soba Noodles- grilled portobello mushroom & asparagus slices, tossed with cool sesame soba noodles, white truffle oil & sweet 100 tomatoes; Tamarind Chicken Satay-marinated chicken breast, skewered & grilled, served with  peanut sauce; Asia-dilla- a quesadilla stuffed with duck, jack cheese, cilantro & fresno peppers served with a sun-dried cherry crème fraiche
<Whatever happens in AsiaSF, doesn't stay in AsiaSF.
<Get a couple of drinks in him and he goes all "Hot Asian Youth" on us. No, you can't be in the calendar no matter who's cock you suck.

After AsiaSF, I think we hit up a few other bars. I don't really remember. We wandered around for a while, I sort of blacked out at that time. Then we ended up at some diner.
<So not sexy. haha  <I couldn't look any drunker.

  • New and old self-portraits

First, I just wanted to say that I'm cutting my bangs again.  I love having bangs. but I never keep them in the summer because it just gets too hot. Any objections?

Since I haven't been working, I've just been staying up all night feeling like a useless zombie, so I decided to set up some lights and snap a few new self portraits. I'm just laying on my couch because I didn't feel like clearing my living room. I've taken so many photos on these couches, but I'm planning on getting rid of them soon. It's been a fun 4 years, couch, but it's almost time for  us to part for good.
^This is what it looks like when a seemingly thin girl arches her back while she lays on her fat ass. For this shoot I rocked my Na Hoku shit. I love Hawaiian Jewelry. These are from the Heliconia and Nalani collections.

^I've been seeing lots nice vintage pinup inspired beauty blogs. Most of my older shots were inspired by vintage pinups, and the look is actually still requested a lot when I do glamor shoots, so I decided to do something slightly different. I wanted to make these look like old head shots of a Filipina showgirl from the vintage pinup era.
<here's an old pinup self portrait I shot early '07 that I don't think I've posted here yet. I got the inspiration from a painting by one of my favorite pinup artists, Elvgren.

I decided I'm just going to be a combat army bitch for Halloween. I want to be warm and comfy since I'm going to be working at the APE the next day. I'm just going to wear my camouflage corset with some combat boots, fishnets, an army hat, and my diamond dog tag.  All I need to buy is the hat. Not sure where we are going yet, but I think my sister is trying to find somewhere dope for our first Halloween in SF.

    Guess that's all.

  • Sushi Sushi in Beverly Hills

Ever since I went to Sushi Sushi a few weeks ago, I've been craving it a lot. Sushi Sushi is a quaint and peaceful little restaurant that is all about delicious traditional Japanese Sushi. You won't find any fancy experimental rolls, which I also enjoy, but the quality of the sushi is probably better than anywhere I've ever been.  The ambiance is sort of dull, but it is a clean looking restaurant and it didn't look tacky. It's just a plain looking joint, but they make up for it with their fricken delicious sushi.

On the menu, they have a little note explaining how to get the best of the Sushi Sushi experience. Here were some of the 'rules'
    - To better enjoy the flavor of the sushi, it should be eaten with your hands.
-The chef will give you the correct  amount of wasabi for each piece of sushi. There shouldn't be a need to add any to your soy sauce or to add more in general, although they will hesitantly provide you with more if you request it.
-You want to soy sauce, don't put it on the rice portion of your sushi.

I usually do the omakase or tasting menu the first time I hit up a restaurant so I can get a feel for the menu and what have you. Sushi Sushi has I think $60, $80, and $100 omakases. We told the waitress that we each wanted the $100 omakase, but she warned that it would be way to much food. I guess it's not like at Nobu where you pay more for premium meats and ingredients. The price at Sushi Sushi goes up depending on how big your appetite is. So we hesitantly decided to get the $80 omakases, which ended up being plenty of food. The waitress then politely asked if there was anything we didn't like, and I replied, "I'm feeling daring. Bring it on!" and she was like, "Oh it's been brought!" and I was like "No it hasn't. What kind of unfiltered sakes do you have?" and she was like, "so sorry, we don't carry unfilter sake, but I can recommend something you like..." I forgot the sake she recommended, but it was yummy. Nice and smooth.

The service here is nice. The servers were quick and adamant when it came to refilling my sake, which was nice. They aren't too charming or interesting like some of my favorite LA waiters, but they are quick and perceptive which is good. Maybe some day I'll try sitting at the sushi bar, but I hear it can be quite intimidating. The chef's supposedly a real sushi natzi of sorts.

<Monkfish liver pate, sea urchin, and conch. The monkfish liver pate reminds me of foie gras. I like it. It's equivalent to Matsuhisa's monkfish liver dish. Sea urchin is definitely and acquired taste. I actually enjoy it, but my date isn't to fond of it. The conch is good. It was better than the conch from Matsuhisa's. Whenever I eat conch, I think of Survivorman.
<Okay, the crème de la crème. This shit melts, and I mean MELTS in your mouth. After this dish, I was convinced that this place doesn't how you say "fuck around." Oh, it's good.
<a refreshing mushroom soup before the hot dish.  I enjoyed it.
<This was a grilled sea bass. Actually I'm not too sure. It was yummy, but nothing compared to the sushi.  <So good. <Fish egg. more Sea urchin. Pungent. Yummy. I didn't eat the square egg deal though. I've never been a fan of that, plus I was getting full and wanted to save room for what was to come.
<Shit I forgot to add this. A very delicious toro hand roll. The seaweed is a bit different from what you would get at a normal sushi joint. The texture is better. Again, of course the fish like butter. I swear! Man, this is goood!!
    <Tender, flavorful, delicious unagi. Mmmm.
<Not a premium dessert like you would get at Matsuhisa's or Nobu, but it was still yummy.
I'm actually going back to Sushi Sushi this Wednesday. I think this time we'll order more sashimi and sushi. I swear it's the best. I've been to lots of great sushi places. I'm glad I found Sushi Sushi. =) Don't get me wrong, I love enjoying different and interesting rolls and such, but when I'm craving delicious hardcore traditional sushi. I know where to go.

  • New boob goofing. Why I bought boobs...*Edit*

So I've been getting lots of messages asking, "You didn't need to have your boobs done. Why did you do it?"

First of all, nobody NEEDS to get their boobs enlarged.  Even if (god forbid) someone lost her tits to breast cancer or through some sort of freak accident, she wouldn't NEED to have her breasts to be enlarged to it's previous size. No one needs fake boobage.  Thanks for pointing out that I didn't need them. I would've gone on believing that these silicone bags would someday save my life.

To be serious, I got them because I really like having a hard time finding bras. I used to be a 32(small)C. For as long as I could remember, 32c bras were pretty hard to find up until 2 years ago. I started finding them quite easily at department stores and lingerie shops. I decided I had to do something about. So I paid to get them at a ridiculous 32(full)D. This'll show them, I thought to myself as I walked into Victoria's Secret. They actually happened to have exactly 2 bras in a 32D. Same style, different colors. The girls said that they just started carrying these 32D bras a few weeks ago. I was shocked that they even carried my size, but it's comforting to know that they only had 2.

To be really serious. I got these fun bags because...
I wanted my boobs to match my fat ass.
I wanted to be able to call them sweater doggies, as opposed to sweater puppies.
I wasn't getting enough attention at home.
I got sick of people looking me in the eyes when I talked to them.
I wanted the guy at the McDonald's to replace my small fry with a bucket of fries for free.
I felt my left tit was ridiculously smaller than the right one, so I had them evened out.
They were close to becoming flapjack tits, and I wanted to prevent that from happening. Hey, I'm no spring chicken.
I wanted to look rich, like I could afford the finer things in life. For $7500, I could've bought you a better car, you broke bastard.

Bottom line...I bought boobs because I wanted them bigger, you nosy pricks. =) Seriously does it really matter why I wanted them bigger?

*Edit* When did I get my new breastassists? Well, that's actually a decent, easy-to-answer question. On May 30, 2008 I got my breasts enhanced with Allergan's
cohesive silcone gel implants by the awesome Dr. David Stoker of Marina
Plastic Surgery Center. (For those of you who wanted to know) I love
them. They've been getting softer every day. It almost feels to me like
I've had nothing done. With the exception of the occasion of
accidentally bumping my new knockers into things, I really do believe that
they are starting to feel like they are actually a part of me. =)

  • How I've been...my ear and crap

So, I think my eardrum is healing. I can sort of hear my eardrum throbbing, which is a relief. I didn't like being fucking completely deaf in my right ear. The only thing that's driving me crazy now is whenever I talk it sounds like I'm yelling in my own ear. I'm just relieved to know that my ear isn't completely dead though. I'm still suffering from a bit of vertigo, but it's not as bad as it was. Bottom line is, I'm glad that I'm getting better. I seriously would have killed myself if my ear didn't heal. I love music too much. I enjoy not being dizzy. I totally appreciate my ears now. I have an appointment with a specialist on the 7th. Yeah, it's a long time from now, but Kaiser's slow.

I'm going crazy being at home. I've just been playing video games, reading random blogs, and looking up online sales. haha. I feel like a god damned loser. I hate being unable to do shit. eck. Friday night and I'm home blogging. haha.

I did a bit of shopping earlier. I just got a few things from Sephora. I swear those beauty blogs really make me want to buy useless shit. =P haha. I think I spent about $250 on makeup. I don't even wear makeup all the time. Maybe twice a week. haha. Well, actually sometimes 4 times a week. I have lots of food pics and restaurants that I'd like to write about, but I kinda want to take a nap. We'll see how I feel in a bit.

I'll be heading to SF on the 30th for the APE and for Halloween. I'll also be spending some time at the Ritz, maybe go titty-barring, maybe get some massages and treatments while I'm there. I need to look shit up. It's the best time for me to look up some important shit, but I don't feel like it. meh...depression on and off. I just hate feeling stuck at home. I'm a grown ass woman. I should be drunk somewhere right now...haha.

  • The Palm restaurant

The Palm Restaurant that I go to is the one in West Hollywood. The decor is nice and whimsical. There are caricatures old and new of famous celebrities all over the walls and on some parts of the ceiling, which I love. The place gets packed, and loud, but I really like the mood of the crowd at the Palm. I think that every time I've been there a few tables were actually celebrating birthdays. I enjoy singing along in my head and peaking back at the happy parties. I'm weird like that. <A photo of part of the wall. I took this with my phone while waiting for my table. I just thought it was funny that some drunk bitch actually put her lips  the dirty wall, so she could fantasize that she was making out Jon Lovitz of all people. Someone must've had one too many Screaming Mimis.

The restaurant doesn't look very fancy, but the service is outstanding. They are very charming, attentive, quick, and friendly. I remember once I was wearing a black dress and the maǐtre d' pointed it out and asked if I'd like a black napkin to match my lovely black dress. Nice. Two of my favorite servers work at the Palm. One is named Alessandro who reminds me of Lumiere the candle guy in Disney's Beauty and the Beast. He's very funny and I love his accent.  He has a lot of character. The other server's name is Morel. He's also quite the character. He cracked lots of funny jokes. I think I actually wrote a blog a while back about waiters and mentioned these guys. Basically, they're very interesting characters who really know how to entertain the customers. =)

They also have a nice drink menu. They have lots of fun cocktails with whimsical names which is a plus for me. With names like the vixen and screaming mimi, I usually have a hard time choosing a cocktail. They have a long list, that I have yet to try. =) So far I think the Delicate Palm is my favorite cocktail from this joint.

The Palm restaurant is hands down my favorite place to get lobster here in LA. Why? Because they have the tastiest, juiciest jumbo Nova Scotia lobsters steamed to perfection with butter on the side. No bells and whistles. Just really good lobster. They have other dishes at the Palm, but I've only tried the lobster with Caesar Salad and garlic green beans or asparagus. I sure one of these days I'll try the steak, but seriously, the lobster is just soooo good. It's huge, delicious, and consistently hits the spot. (That's what she said...or he said)
      <Yum
<Now that's a fucking claw. MMM MMM bitch!

  • Vh1's Pickup Artist 2

To be honest, when I first heard of the Pick up Artist show, I thought it was just a bunch of bullshit. I'd only seen one episode and I sort of just remember them trying to get some guys to say some pick up lines to as many girls as possible to see if they could hook someone.  I figured if anyone talked to a bunch of different women at a night club, at least one would eventually reciprocate and flirt back. Needless to say, I sort of dismissed the show as useless and never really tuned in again.

Well, my sister invited me to a viewing/party for season 2 of Vh1's Pick up Artist. After speaking with a few of the guys affiliated with the show, I know now that there's a whole lot more to it than I thought. Lots of guys are completely clueless when it comes to socializing.  In the show, the master pick up artists actually help people gain confidence and they also learn something that is really important when it comes to meeting others- how to read and react to body language. It's pretty interesting, even to a professional pimp like myself. =P I think I'll tune in this season to see more of what the show has to offer.

I do have to admit that some of the guys I interacted with still need a bit more practice. I noticed that some of them kept asking a bunch of questions in a sort of un-fluid fashion. At times I felt like I was being interviewed. For the most part though, some of them were able to keep me quite entertained before I was whisked away by beau after beau. It was fun because I treated it like a fun flirting game. If I didn't know what the party was for, I think I would've felt like a real piece of meat though. Some of those guys were a mite pushy and aggressive for my taste. =)

I have a few snapshots from the party, but not many. I know a bunch of people have their own pics in their personal cameras, but chances are slim that I'll run into them ever again. haha.
<Mystery, the master pick up artist. Oh, he's got game. He's really charming and he's fricken tall too...I think 6'6''. My sis loves him. haha. < Justine wearing Mystery's infamous fuzzy hat. We were posing with some charming English/Italian bloke, if I'm remembering correctly. He like likes handcuffs and skulls.
<Me with Grand Marshal B. haha. He was a sweetheart.  I told him that I still watch that show all the time, which is true. It's one of my all time favorite shows. It still cracks me up. =)

It was an interesting night. The guys were fun and all. I just wish I didn't have a fucked up ear. I felt like an old lady with my vertigo and because I kept cupping my ear and saying, "What?" like a beat up old fart.

  • Feeling better, but still off

So I'm still fucking deaf in my right ear. I'm also still suffering from vertigo. I've just been in bed a lot lately. When I get up from a sitting/laying to standing position, I get fucking dizzy so it really sucks. I'm not as depressed as I was the other day. Thanks for the messages, texts, and phone calls. I was just being a little vagina about it because I was super stressed out that day. Hey, I'm a girl and sometimes I can't help it when I start feeling all vulnerable. Anyways, I think I have some time to get a couple of separate posts in, so I'll get started.

  • fucking depressed

The past few days have been really stressful for me.
Lots of fucking drama...party planning....bullshit. On top of all that, I had a really bad ear infection, and I was still stressing and working my ass off. My eardrum ended up bursting, which relieved some of the pain, but now I can't hear at all in my right ear and I've been getting lots of dizzy spells out of nowhere-vertigo. I  almost collapsed a couple of times since it ruptured...getting out of my car, out of bed,  standing from a chair, etc. have all been extremely disorienting. It's weird.

I should be resting, but I'd been planning this party for weeks. It was supposed to be an intimate affair- invites only, but some people decided to invite themselves. It really hurts for me to talk right now because of the ear pressure, so I sort of just let it slide in the beginning, which was a big mistake. More than twice as many heads ended up coming and staying. I usually stand my ground and say shit, but I don't know what happened. I'm stressed out and in pain in my room while the party blasts on downstairs in my living room. $1000 spent on this party so far. $400 of it to accommodate all the last minute jerks. The money doesn't bother me as much as the attitude. It's really taking a lot out of me-refraining from punching people in the mouths.

I feel like I'm not myself...like I've become too soft. The old me would've told everyone to fuck off by now, but I feel so weak and tired. I don't need more drama. I feel like I'm only 1/4 of the strong woman that I used to be...maybe it's the medication I'm on. I haven't been this depressed in a while. I'm scared that I can't hear anything in my right ear at all. It feels really eerie. I have an appointment to see a specialist this week. Right now I'm taking pain meds, stupid ear drops, and these huge antibiotics that look like those fucking joke pms pills that you would find at a gag shop. ugh....

okay. back to the party. =( This is up there as one of my worst weeks ever.

  • Oh yeah Macy's sale

The other day, I was shopping for a bday gift and I happened to be lucky enough to catch the big sale at Macy's. I ended up getting a really nice new comforter. I'm usually a sucker for fancy looking comforters with a lot of fancy bead work and expensive fabrics, but I realized that they just aren't comfortable. So I decided to get the Hotel Collection's extra weight hungarian goose down comforter. It was originally $800 and I got it for about $380!  I've been using I swear, it's the best comforter I've ever slept with anywhere. I also bought a flannel cover for it to keep me extra warm in the winter. My room gets really cold in the winter and sometimes my electricity
goes out when I run the heater at night so hopefully this will help. They are also selling pillows buy one get one free. I might get some  tomorrow.

<I also finally picked up the lil'angel harujuku fragrance. It's actually my favorite out of the bunch. It's a nice fruity smell without the musk. It smells really yummy sort of like pear and pineapple. =)

<here I am the other day on my web cam drunk and tired.
    < New battle marks. =(

    k that's all.
